This peer-reviewed article describes how to calculate the risk of cystic fibrosis on the basis of prenatal (echogenic bowel via ultrasound) and carrier screening results using a number of illustrative examples. This article could be used to develop a lecture for classroom presentation or as a reading/self-study.
